1st Father-Son Campout

Steve and Jake had their first father-son campout this summer!  This was the first time Jake had ever slept in a tent, since we're not big campers right now, and he l.o.v.e.d. it!!  And I loved the one on one time with Evan :)  He got to stay up late and eat as many smores as he wanted, be next to a campfire, didn't have to change into his pj's, he got to put coins on the nearby railroad track and flattened after the train went over them, and got to walk along the beach.  Steve said he didn't get much sleep that night haha.  Jake's not the easiest person to sleep with.  He tosses and turns and wakes up really easily.  And early.  It doesn't matter what time he goes to bed, he will ALWAYS, ALWAYS get up no later than 6:30.  And that's on a good day.  We even took away naps to try to get him to sleep in.  Didn't work.  He goes to bed earlier, which is a big plus, but still wakes up at that dreaded 6:30!!  Haha, anyways, enjoy the pics!  I wish Steve would've taken more of the actual camping part, but oh well ;)  Next time, I guess.
